Chandelier for granddaughters nursery
I was downcast in this chandelier. It was small and did not have the glitz as appeared in the picture. It also was a chain hang and did not have the covers or hardware to hang blunt from the ceiling. I returned the item and purchased another that was more expensive..but was exactly what I was looking for. This review also forced me to under any circumstances this item as a toy..and it definitely is not a toy.

Some, in accomplishment, are downright chatty.

One of my all-time favorites is the Zettel'z chandelier by famous German lighting designer Ingo Maurer. Fetching his typical Mad Hatter approach to design - think light bulbs with angel wings - Maurer has affixed angel notes to wires radiating from a stainless steel frame. Backlit by bulbs, the pieces of deed seem to glow, bringing the heartfelt doodles, poems and scribbles ("amore amore") into relief. The unqualified pieces of paper that come with the chandelier let you get in on the action - though the $1,220 price tag at YLighting.com may sideline some.

If that's the case, you might try the Wakefield Chandelier at Crockery Barn, whose three circular tiers of bronze-finished iron are punctuated by small clips. Each holds an ivory humorist printed with maps, sketches and phrases like "all the world's a stage," "smile" and "let them eat cube!" Though some of the sentiment may seem cliched, the Wakefield remains a quirky alternative to the crystal chandelier - and at $299, far more affordable than the Maurer cabal.

Can you suggest how I can clean a crystal chandelier?

I cannot take the chandelier down and there are dozens of pieces of crystal that cook up the chandelier. Any suggestions concerning supplies (chemicals? What should I wipe it with?) and techniques will be appreciated. Thanks.
Thank you for the meditative answers. I cannot fathom the person(s) who have nothing better to do than to give thumbs down to really good answers (no, it's not me).

I use ExtendAFinisH chandelier cleaner. You pronounce it on & let it drip dry.You may have to use it twice depending on how dirty it is.You can get this in the lighting section at Loews for about $6.00.

Trying to find value of vintage swarovski crystal chandelier?

A flattering friend gave me an eight light vintage swarovski crystal chandelier. I don't know how to find out the value of it. The Internet searches seem to be no ease. Anyone have knowledge in this area?

Please take it to a proper antique store and ask for a valuation. Also, call the local art museum in your community and ask for the name of someone to value your antique. They are very knowledgeable.

It is valuable if it is true. Do not sell it to the first person who values it for you. Tell them it is for insurance purposes.

Or, ask your insurance company who they would refer you to in regularity to have it valued.
