Dear reference tool and study guide
As a first year HVAC swat, I found this book to be an excellent "go-to" source for much of the information being presented to me on a daily basis. The charts, diagrams, and pictures are an ripping source of information. This book not only covers older units, it covers newer technologies also. All three books in this series will find a dwelling in my office.
More than enough for the novice...
I industry as a Plumbing Pro at a home center, and purchased this book to help me field HVAC questions from customers. For anyone attempting to do their own industry on heating applications, I'd highly recommend it. Because I live in Alaska, I can't comment on the Air Conditioning element, but would assume that report is just as useful.

Nine Sprung Furnaces to be Installed for Needy Families

(MMD Newswire) January 22, 2010 -- TUDI Mechanical Systems and Measure Air & Lite will install nine free furnaces to local area families this Saturday, January 23, 2010. Stir for the Needy was developed to provide assistance to families who cannot afford new heating systems, or are using unsafe frame of heat such as space heaters.

Teams of volunteers will install the new furnaces on Saturday morning, January 23, 2010, starting at 9:00am.

Direct Iozzo, a TUDI service technician who has participated in Heat for the Needy for almost 10 years, will be used as one of nine team leaders that will volunteer his time and talent to help install a new, high efficiency furnace in the shelter of local family in Millvale.

Over the past ten years, the Heat for the Needy program has provided over 95 heating systems to families throughout the Pittsburgh neighbourhood. Heat for the Needy is made possible through the gracious efforts of the employees and their families at TUDI Mechanical Systems, neighbourhood pub suppliers and businesses who have donated in-kind supplies and services.

Are there any home heating furnaces fuel by E85?

If not, is there technology out there being developed? And what about Hydrogen. Any late-model breakthroughs on that?

no. and you can only use 5% biodeisel in your furnace legally--any more than that and you'll get smoke

Furnace not heating after shut down for 2 months - equipped with auto igniter?

My heating furnace is not heating. I was out of burgh for 2 months and have shut down the electric and gas supply to the unit. Now when I am back the heating is not working. The fan on ON position works. When I tried the connecting the red and ghostly wire behind the thermostat, the heating system does a noise but does not heat. It is equipped with automatic ignitor. I recollect it is some small issue that I am not able to find out.
Or it could be the thermostat itself, I have changed the battries in thermostat it seems to be working fine now.
Let me identify if you have any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
**UPDATE** - I have found the problem. The draft inducer motor making the hubbub and it is not really moving. The draft motor is rotating very slowly. So I just added some cooking oil and then it STARTED working. The ignitor worked and so are the burners. BUT it worked for only 2-3 minutes, then again the motor started inducer effective very slowly, I then again olied and it worked.
BUT after oiling the metal rod at the back of the draft inducer motor it only works for 2-3 minutes and then becomes very dull thus stopping the burner and ignitor.

Is it just I need better oil and need to oil the fan rod more or there is something else wrong with my draft motor.

Were red and deathly white connected to r&w?The wire color doesn,t matterit is what termials they are connected to.I suggest you get an inspectio/keep on your furnace.

can you add deep fry oil to burn in heating furnace?

I WAS WONDERING IF IT MATTERED WHAT Typewrite OF OIL CAN BE ADDED INTO THE HEATING FURNACE. CAN I USE FRENCH FRY OIL?
CURIOUS...

BY THE WAY I HAVE A BECKET BURNER.

Not without cleaning the yawning fry oil of small particles. The burner has very fine jets which spray the oil into the combustion chamber. Any "crud" in the fry oil will thwart of the jets and cut off the flow of oil.

In addition, the fry oil may burn hotter or more explosively than the kerosene or No. 2 heating oil. That would heat the room up too much, creating stress on the furnace, and causing problems.
