Can you give details about electric resistance furnace, and induction furnace?

I want some good info about resistance and induction furnaces, details about design/construction, and method of operation, advantages and so on, I can't find any virtuousness info about them, if you can find good links, please write them.
I'm not looking to buy one, I'm just writing a story about them, so I need good details about how their design and how they work

i am doing project on induction furnace Is there any effect of oriention of scrape in melting time?

i want to lower the power consuption on induction furnace so i want know is there any effect of orientation of scrape in furnace? how should be the scape? we are doing meltingin 750 kw average frequvacy coreless furnace.
i want to reduce power consuption.so is it if we place the plate which is strips will in minimun flux and will result in more power consuption.


Muster, you mean "scrap", correct? Orientation of the material is not going to matter. The single pieces are going to absorb the energy as a unit, and eventually as a whole as it all melts. If your scrap is all straight pieces then placing them so that everything creates a unified majority, that might make a difference, but it would be peculiar to that type of material where it's mass would look like one continuous piece of material.
