anl fuse holder
AS DESCRIBED works what else can I say ...it holds an ANL pattern fuse and the
housing seems tough enough
OK...
For the cost out, it's not that bad. The cover is rather flimsy and if you're running thick gauge wire through it, it'll show. Nothing that tape won't solve, however! If you're looking for something basic, this is it. If you're perturbed about potential looks, find something else!
Personal property, Simple, Fuse Holder
Not much to say about this one. Mat and plastic seems to be of high quality and is sized to hold the fuse perfectly; I would not hesitate to buy another.
Everything is "amend sized"
... For a 1000 watt 12VDC system.

Fuses for 12VDC can not have much release across the fuse because the battery (fully charged) is 12.8 VDC and the battery is considered "drained" at 10.5 VDC. That's only 2.3 V of shed in your entire system including wires, connectors, fuses, and the battery. It's better if you have an alternator and engine continuous but they'll give you 124A or so while the battery can deliver 1000 amps. At 1000 watts constant power you will eradicate c draw even 115 Amps - that leaves you with 0.02 ohms for your entire wiring system to run 1000W with a charged battery and 2.3 V dram. If your battery is running low, consider it more like 0.01 ohms of max system loss. If your engine is on up at 14VDC you get some slack so extended as your alternator <-> battery link is good.

You still need a fuse in the system though because the alternatives working with these power levels are arcwelding.

These high current fuses are optimal for such systems. For 1000W consideration a minimum of 150 amps or possibly a 200 amp fuse. The clear plastic covers protect the screwdown terminals from accidental metal and let you get a visual on the fuse status should it blow (it won't be pretty if it does blow - stopping a 115A DC contemporaneous is going to produce a nasty arc and will also leave smoke inside the cover - no problem telling if the fuse blew!

A scarcely secret - if you wonder why it is so hard to stop high power (200+ amps) DC and easy with AC it's that with 60Hz AC the voltage is accurately zero 60 times per second and usually stops on its own, so your arc lasts for a maximum of 1/60th in the second place and with a sine wave source it naturally tapers down to zero where it stops. DC will go on forever if the gap isn't large enough.
severe and easy
With the persuasible case as a whole unit, the fuse is easy to fit in. Although from either ends of the terminal there is a gap about a 1/2 inch or so. Don't seem like it would be weather uphold. With the pass few weeks of wet and windy weather. I just wire tape just one end keeping the rainfall out. All in all, it is a fairly good product.

Does anyone know where I can find a cylinder fuse box holder for my Dryer fuse for an old-school fuse system?

I have an older residence that has a Fuse electrical system. I bought a new dryer but it won't heat because the fuse holder is damaged and is not allowing enough power to reach the heater on the dryer. SO, I lack to find a new/used holder but I can't find them at the normal H.D. or Lowes. Does anyone know where they can be found.
It's a black raze-out plastic holder that sits with the Range and Main Fuse similar holders.
Sounds confusing and it is.

What mark is the fuse box. Do an on line search and you will find the replacements. I have to find them all the time for people. You can call a local electrical parts warehouse also. Electricians never buy materials at HD or Lowes. For very documentation reasons.

Will a 15a 250v fuse work with a 20amp rated in-line fuse holder?

I penury to replace the fuse on my xbox. I know i need a 15 amp 250 volt fuse and an in-line fuse holder, but i can't find a 15amp rated in-area fuse holder. Will the 20 amp rated one work? Does anyone know what kind of external power provision i could use and the aproximate cost? I am trying to save money and space by just replacing the fuse. Thanks for any help!

Yes it will line. The 15 amp fuse will fit in the 20 amp rated holder. Don't use a 20 amp fuse, stay with the 15.

I don't know what you are demanding to do with the external power supply. I'll let one of your fellow gamers answer that part.
