Cut-price fuses
Shoddy fuses, but you get what you pay for. My box has latches, but the hinges are about par for one of those CD jewel cases that break if you look at it funny, my hinges came already obedient in the mail (but I determined it wasn't worth the time or effort to try and return it, the contents of the box are what matters to me). The "testing tools" are twopenny and of dubious usefulness, clear blast style fuses you can SEE if the fuse is blown or not, but however, once again, I bought this for the fuses, the only pang I have about the actual fuses themselves is they don't have very visible labels, they are cast into the plastic and not painted or anything so one would be hard pressed to bid what fuse you're trying to replace if you're replacing your dashboard light fuse on a dark rainy night far from home.
All in all, however, enough with the gripes, fuses are fuses and this was the unexcelled deal for the largest quantity at the time of purchase, and since I consider fuses to be a boring disposible commodity, having liking fuses that cost three times as much does not appeal to me. Just don't buy this for the box or the testing tools.

most luxurious deal
I paid $8.50. that included unconstrained shipping, which is not so good right now. Their fuses so there not much more to say. Plastic case, but nice, even some testing equipment.
Skilful set of fuses
When you for a fuse, nothing else will do. This kit should be a virtual lifetime supply of fuses for the do-it-yourself vehicle owner. The fuses are nicely organized in the occurrence and do not shuffle around when the case is shaken. I seem to remember the auto parts store wants $4 or more for 5 or 6 fuses, so buying this kit is a no-brainer.
Of definitely once you replace a fuse and it blows again, you've got to start tracing down what's causing it to blow...
o.k.
it's always a reliable idea to have fuses on hand when you need them,Just Like turn signal bulbs and the like. This set will toil othere than the very cheap case they come to you in. It does not latch so you need to transfer them to another or rubber federate it shut. But for the price it's a safe and smart investment.

Brobdingnagian value
I distinguish at Auto stores that stuff isn't cheap. I needed one 15a fuse for my horn, and I knew if I went to an Auto hoard it'd cost me like 3 dollars just for a fuse. So I checked Amazon.com and this kit had 150 pieces plus some cardinal tools. It has a socket tester, alligator clip, and a tweezers. The auto tester is very nice to see if essence is coming through for the sockets. I think the light inside it lights up if it is good. The tweezers are nice and sustained for pulling hard to get fuses. The alligator clip is used to install fuses I believe. Anyways, this kit is significant and comes with a great variety of fuses. For 8.50 plus amazon prime shipping I got this for a prowl. Even for regular shipping is about 12 dollars all said and done, this is still a great deal. I would have paid up to 20 dollars for this kit.
Farmington man sentenced in pipe bomb case Salt Lake Tribune
22.01.10
A Farmington man who put together a whistle bomb to use in his search for Spanish treasure was sentenced Thursday to time served in jail.
In august what amounts to a five-month term, U.S. District Judge Clark Waddoups said the evidence showed that Brandon Easter had no objective to hurt anyone.
"I'm sorry for what I've done," the 34-year-old said. "I was completely stupid. I had no idea of the magnitude of what it was."
Easter had pleaded blameworthy to possession of an unregistered destructive device. Prosecutors say Easter wanted the pipe bomb for his pursuit for Spanish gold that he believes is hidden in a cave in central Utah.
The bomb was discovered Aug. 4 in Easter's at ease by Farmington police officers and FBI agents, who had received information about it in an investigation and had a search warrant.
Court records say technicians with the Davis County Shell Squad spent several hours examining the bomb -- which was made of galvanized steel pipe and end caps and had a fuse -- then destroyed it in a church parking lot stingy Easter's home in the 800 block of 50 East.

What fuse in my fuse box needs to be changed to fix the overhead console on my 1999 Ford Explorer?
Feb 23, 2008 by cbx321 | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
My sky console has gone out but flashes on when I start my Ford Explorer so I know that the fuse simply needs to be changed. However, I don't comprehend which fuse needs to be changed. I have looked at online diagrams but none of them specificly states what fuse I need to change. Does anyone skilled in exactly which fuse it is?
In all likelihood an instrument fuse or map light fuse. But since it flashes on... one might think something else has gone wrong but a good place to start at is... chit the fuse.
Learn how to use a test light. I use test lights to check everything. They will tell you if a fuse is blown, where you have power, where you don't, if a beat is working or not. Anyone who does not know how to use a test light does not know the basics to diagnose a unruly.
I'm not being mean... I just think you will save yourself lots of grief and money if you learn to distinguish with a test light.

What is the relationship between the fuse block from the battery terminal and the amplifiers' fuses?
Aug 12, 2007 by pistolchomp | Posted in Car Audio
Hello to all you audio enthusiasts. By how many amperes should the fuse be applicable to my amplifiers' fuses? I upgraded my fuse from a 'barrel' fuse to an ANL (wafer) fuse. Did my old fuse burn because it was rated at 80A and powering two amps? The fuse outline I have installed has a 250A fuse. What are the consequences of having this size of a fuse?
The make and models of each amp are:
Rockford Fosgate P8002 (3x40A)
US Acoustics USX 4085 (2x25A)
Since the sum of amperes is 170, should I set up home for a 150A fuse or a 200A? Without the presence of a distrubition block, should there be a 'barrel' fuse for each amp?
Post script, how painfully can I push my four 6.5s (40 rms) and two 10s (400 rms) with the 250A fuse? Will installation be a breeze if I get a lower fuse, because watching the installer do it looked casual.
Thanks.
Hi consociate, one thing i didn't read about was what guage wire you were using from the battery to your amplifiers, if both of your amps have internal fuses, then the fuse at the battery, is only to safeguard the cable run back to your amplifiers, if there isn't fuses in the amps, you should put one at each amp. Your main fuse at the battery should be a bit more than both amps need but it needs to be relative to the size of your wire, or else you will have problems if the cable shorts to ground- IE. going through a raw indented hole with no bushing through your metal firewall under the dash, common mistake. BTW- if you are not an professional and not sure what you are doing, you should over paying someone to do it right, and make sure you ask them questions regarding their skills and experience and procedure, do they solder their connections, and the cheapest consequence is usually not the best quality. if you had a problem with your appendix, would you do the surgery yourself of have a professional do it, its the same with car audio/video and surety.

What fuse to I pull to make the horn stop working for a 97 Ford contour?
Dec 20, 2007 by metrogurl | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I have a diagram of the fuse box from Ford. It does not imply which fuse works the horn. I was in an accident and the air bags deployed, now everytime I start the car the horn is blasting and I extremity to shut it off.
You could also situate the actual horn in the engine compartment and pull the wire off it to keep it from working. The trouble with removing the fuse is that the same fuse powers other things that you don't be deficient in to turn off.
