Wholesome quality light bulbs.... but...
Received the shipment and all the bulbs are working. One preoccupation I noticed though, Amazon has increased the price from 14.99 to 20.99. It is interesting to see such a fluctuation in price in such a insufficient briefly time (it has been less than a month).

Only 5 to Even Start With
Proper got these. Put the first one in and 2 seconds later it burnt out! The other 3 I used seem fine, but will stick with Phillips next time.

What are the lights they use in dept stores?
Jul 20, 2007 by frankeecheckerz | Posted in Other - Health
I am worrying to do research on the effects of indoor lighting to skin. I have notices how ashy my skin is Its really strange, but several people who have fist our store have come back looking markedly better.to the point where associates talk about it. Its borderline uncanny. NO, its not less accentuate, I'm talking about people who go on to all type so f pursuits. The air is proly also dirty. This store is so nasty that you can steal by and hear customers telling their children not to use our restrooms, but to wait til they go home. Its the kind of place where ceiling lights pick holes in and shatter all over the floor for no apparent reason. I've been there 8 mos, and have not seen the floor more than spot mopped in two or three places. You will see feces splattered in the worker toilet bowl for long periods of time....1 associate commented to me that a little kind of what appeard to be feces on the floor, was still ther a 1 week later in main ladies room. its an Stated high end stor
If people are presentiment better when they leave the store, it is more likely due to the filthy environment you describe than to the lighting.

Most stores use fluorescent lamps for indefinite lighting. And halogen lamps for accent lighting. Both lamps uses mercury vapors. Care should be used when a lamp breaks. Do not inhale the vapors or dust.

Energy efficient light blubs...?
Aug 14, 2007 by nl8uprly | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
I am tiresome to be good to the Earth (and my electric bill) by replacing my regular bulbs as they burn out with the energy efficient (EE) ones...
However, I have noticed that often when I flop the switch, they do not glow as bright as they should even though they are the correct wattage. This is especially true in my bathroom. I have a light bar with 10 around bulbs, 3 of which are EE (at least until the others burn out).
In my kitchen, I have recessed lighting - requiring the use of indoor spot lights. I have replaced 4 bulbs with the EE limelight type and occasionally they glow a strange pink color. If I flip the switch a few times that may fix it, sometimes not.
This is praisefully irritating since eventually I will be sitting in the dark once they are all replaced. Any ideas?
FYI: If you have not already seen them, you can get the EE bulbs with a glass hide that looks like a typical bulb (the curly glass part is on the inside) - that is what I have. Also, my bulbs are new.
You may have a voltage fine kettle of fish. Check and make sure you are getting at least 110 V to your branch circuit. Also, the quality of these bulbs varies greatly. Do not buy these at the dollar shop! Stick with a reputable manufacturer, GE or Feit or Sylvania. The light output is measured in Lumens, look for this capacity on the label. Watts is how much energy they will use - notice that a 60 Watt regular bulb produces about as much jovial as a 13 watt energy efficient.

Please also be familiar with that these bulbs contain trace amounts of mercury, please dispose of them properly (NOT in your household trash!) and if you do bust one, clean up with gloves, a damp cloth to make sure you get all the materiel, and then dispose of the damp stuff the clergy and gloves as you would the light bulbs.
