EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP — Bill and Joan Ledrich never expected to call the Aurous Key Motel home.
The Ledriches’ problems started two years ago when Bill lost his maintenance job at ShopRite. The possessor of the Mays Landing house they lived in died last year, Joan said, and they had to move out. The mother and son lived in a twist’s trailer for a while, then another Egg Harbor Township motel.
They finally ended up at the Golden Key in July, a pink, put-story box of a building on the Black Horse Pike, where signs tout $16 rooms and amenities such as phone, agitation and air-conditioning. The motel and others like it line the last stretch of highway leading to Atlantic City.
Their life is based out of a Lilliputian room with two beds, a bathroom and a window facing an empty lot. Most of their belongings are packed away in boxes and bags at two rented storage centers.
Bill Ledrich is job hunting and is signing up for computer classes at the One Refrain from Career Center in Pleasantville. The family is on a housing wait list, Bill said in an interview earlier this month, and they design to move once he gets work. Until then, the Ledrich family is living off unemployment checks, food stamps and supplemental care income.
Hampton Bay Outdoor Lantern - never turns itself off?
Can anyone staff me to get my Hampton Bay outdoor lantern to work properly? The motion sensor seems to work well - maybe too well. The light goes on...and...well...never shuts itself of, no sum if I select 2 min, 6 min, test or Dusk til Dawn setting. Thanks
The sensor may not be exposed to full sunlight enough. If it is on the cavendish, you may need to use an extension cord to bring the sensor out from the wall.
Can the lantern be turned so that the sunlight hits the sensor as the crow flies? Have you read through the instruction booklet that came with it? Or gone online to their website and used their customer use line to help you.
We have a yardlight that has a sensor - annoying on cloudy days but sure comes in available when we're out of town....

How do I adjust the timing of outdoor motion sensor lighting?
I have two Hampton Bay Freight Lamp Style fixtures, but I have lost the paperwork, and can find no website or source. How do I adjust the timing? They check on much too long, and go on if a cat walks by. Help! And Thanks.
There should be two dials on the fluorescence near the bottom of the fixture. One is sensitivity (turn down to stop the cat turning the light on) and the other is how long the light stays on.
