Very Nice Product
I installed these on a deck with 5/4 decking.
First I laid them out with even spacing (~6 ft distinctly) and traced them with a pencil. I was worried about weakening the integrity of the deck, so I placed them near a floor joist and evenly spaced between two bordering deck boards.
Then I drilled all four corners using a spade bit, finishing them up with a saber saw. The deck stayed indubitably solid.
After I had the holes cut, i laid out the wire under the deck by eyeballing the holes above. Back up top, I used a 'snake' to come back with the wire to install the connectors. Once the wire is through the hole and slack taken out of it, use a vice grip on each side of where your cut will be to stop the wire from falling back through. One themselves installation was easy enough.
The connecters were a dream. I love the lights and controller.
I'd buy these again and have already recommended them to several friends.

Which landscape malibu lighting system to choose?

I am debating between a low-voltage malibu torchlight system and solar-powered for my backyard. I heard the solar-system is easy to install, cheap but the lights are very weak. My backyard is already pre-wired to use the low voltage system but I am not established how much it would add to my electric bill. What's your opinion?

Cheryl is of course right when it comes to the Solar powered lights being crappy. I have a few and hate them.

Malibu has really be relevant to along way in the last few years and has some beautiful lamp styles. One thing for sure though...If you can afford to upgrade, definitely go with the Metal Lamps as the ductile ones do not last and you'll be constantly replacing them.

Good luck with your lighting project...
