Low Power Treble Impact
Peacefully to install, worked as advertised. Noteworthy: Several of the unit housings were loose. I recommend removing the goggles housing, checking the gasket, and re-assembling before deploying.
On my third year, and kick myself in the join every day for not buying a second set.
I've always enjoyed outdoor lighting. It adds loveliness, safety and most imprtantly, security to my house. I started like most people, and got a plastic 20 short story set with an 88 watt power pack. That was fine for up close things, using most of the pathway lights around the garden, and familiar the spotlights directly on the vehicles, while everything else was left in the dark. I was very happy to throw that set away once I came across this set. I bought it for myself on Christmas in 06, and had it installed within minutes that shades of night. It's durable, stands up to the most careless of weed-eating, super bright, and adds all the beauty, safeness and security I could ever ask for.

I have five spotlights now, and although it dims just a small amount going from using 200 watts to 250 watts, the entire brightness and coverage makes you forget about how the origional four spotlights aren't as bright. I don't have problems with not be sensible getting into the case, but I only have them facing up a slight hill towards the house, rather than straight up on a tree. The only repair I've had to do after being remiss with a weedeater is using the kit with the wires and connectors, and just splicing the wires. I am the only homeowner that I've seen in burgh that has this style of landscaping lights, making my house and car the only one glowing from dusk to dawn. If you're considering this set, put aside any doubts, any concerns, and buy this... you will turtle-dove it!
talented lighting system
I put this in three years ago. I have them aimed from under windows at the roof peaks. I bought two additional lights and the six lights secure my house look like a story book home at night. All of my neighbors have since opted for the same system. It's simple to fit. Be sure to place the transformer in an accessable location because you will need to adjust it several times a year. I ran a rope to a photocell timer outide and than back under the house to the transformer with it in the permanent on position. Works great and I no longer have to ado with changing the timer as the seasons change.
Brilliant idea!
These lights are unforgivable. I have seen the wimpy low wattage and solar mood light malibu lights before. That's not what I wanted. If you pauperism to really light up and accent your landscaping then these babies shine at 50 watts each. I disagree with the reviewer who said the connectors have some problems. If you chase directions, putting it together is literally a snap. Why low voltage? It is much cheaper to run than 110 volts; safer with no jeopardy of getting a high voltage shock and no strict building codes with wires having to be buried 18 inches in approved pvc with dear water tight boxes and covers. Just lay the wires down and start making connections. These lights are witty, easy to install, and look great. I bought extra add on lights because I thought 4 lights were not enough. However, don't go beyond the transformer's power supply rating with too many extra lights. Every time I look outside at Stygian I say wow, those lights look great!
Malibu 4-Store b quit Electric Landscape Lights
Very undemanding to set up, bright lights, sufficient amount of cable. Our previous landscape lights were Malibu and they lasted over 8 years. We had since sold that put up and the new owners are still using them 3 years later. I bought these for my mother's house and her house is now the brightest on the bar. They look great and they're great for security lights. Only brand we will buy.

What is the best type of outdoor security lighting for a home.?

We existent close to a major road that gets quite a bit of foot traffic. Now we keep our property dark at end of day and have a motion detecting flood light. We've been told that the exterior should be illuminated. My concern is that if the outfit is lit up at night...things like patio furnature, bikes and skate boards will be visible...and therefore more of a goal.

Thanks in advance for your help...Rob

Most thieves do not like to be in the "give prominence to". If one is going to rob you, they will do it no matter what you have. You may want to light the yard area with an all night light and use the going detector type nearer the house. This would deter someone from walking across the property to see what you have to offer.

Peradventure a dust to dawn light would be good. Also you might get a good watch dog.

There are so many different color of lights now! How do I choose right color of lighting for my home?

Answerable for: Beauty is a result of function.
To make your home cosy, approach it from a practical standpoint - follow these uncontrived rules.
*Daylight (intense blue-white light - 6500 degrees Kelvin) - ripping for outdoor security. It actually causes the brain to increase seratonin production creating a mild calmative impress. This may help reduce aggressive behavior close to home. It works.
*Daylight - great for garage/reading/library/work areas.
*Full Spectrum (all colors of the rainbow - natural outdoor light) - best for these areas, because it increases proficiency to see details (color contrast depth).
*Pure White light (5000 to 5500 degrees K) - first-class for kitchen/laundry/bath. It doesn't alter the appearance of food/clothes/coating/makeup color.
*Cool White (slight green tint - 4100 degrees K) - eulogistic for dinette/breakfast nook/side lighting.
*Soft/Warm White (orange yellow to lemon yellow - 2700 to 3500 Degrees Kelvin). Minded lighting/hallway/tv area/side light,

Yellow Lights are Greatest I think, they make you happier, or try the lights that actually model the sun. (The one's they give to people with Seasonal Affective Tumult)

How do you add holiday lights to your home? What do you do for cords if you dont have an outdoor outlet?

I have a basement windown with a degree to fit a cord. But are there any outdoor outlets for lights you can install easily to your home?

Yes, I have to do the same item. The solution is to have an electrician run a line and install a weather-proof outdoor outlet.

The only way around the problem is to do what we're doing, run weatherproof range cords from the basement. In my case, it actually works very well.
