Warranty does not cover misuse of product..." says on the page, I would add, if even you use the by-product properly it is COVERED JUST FOR 90 DAYS! I've been using it for a little more than 3 months, I loved it (very handy by the way) but pins 1,2 got loose and you gotta figure out what is wrong - your tester or the cable you are testing. I said, well... everything may flag -no question -and tried replace it, calling the customer service (800-304-3578 x1). They politely explained me I got no fortunes today - Manufacturer's warranty 90 DAYS.

Sony has marked to enter the genre of “reality tv” and they will be releasing their own episodic content known as “ The Tester ”

Eleven gamers will fence for the opportunity to work for Sony Computer Entertainment as a Video Game Tester. Not only will they get the opportunity to try out all the cool PlayStation-one's nearest games before we can even WRITE about them, there’s a $5,000 signing bonus.

This show seems to have a very similar setup to “ The Apprentice ” or “ I In need of To Work For Diddy .” Each week the future testers will be given a task testing either their mental or medical man endurance. They will also stand before a panel of some of the best in the industry (well, Sony’s industry). Back in September, Sony had vacant casting calls for the show where they looked for the best and brightest across the nation for a shot of fame, and early access to games. I am interested in becoming a video ready tester and maker as it is my major in school and i want to know if anyone can point me in the right direction as to any accessible present opportunities or how do i get started looking and inquiring about the jobs?

do at home video game testers really exist or is that just the greatest scam ever?

I've recently done a lot of enquiry online . I want be a game tester but live no where near any developer. and the only thing i get when i google at about game testing jobs are these like three or four websites selling wat look to be scam who ever heard of paying for a job. but any way if anyone give someone a tongue-lashing me if they are or know a video game tester that test from home.

I'm almost 100% infallible there are genuine game tester jobs, but they are incredibly dull. I'm an avid game fan, but I wouldn't be a tester if I could aide it.
You tend to just get a small section to play over and over and over and over so that if you do it in a slightly different way that causes a bug/crash etc, they can pick up on it.

From what I've heard the most wealthy testers are ones that play games at high end skill levels and enter tournaments etc, so that the company that developed the feign notices them.

For example, blizzard recruit a lot of the top gamers from starcraft and warcraft and stuff to just operate games against each other (on their new starcraft 2 alpha/beta, for example) to test balance, strategies, get their opinions, etc. Control testing is a big thing.
