Do not become debilitated your money on this cheap wallplate
I had bought ($5.40) this wall-course to match my backs-plash from Amazon.
Its not brown, more of a dark, dark brown, almost looks ebon and absolutely cheap quality with no brown screws to go with it!
Go to Lowes and get your self a QUALITY wall plate, I did!
enjoyably
This is a lovely piece of plastic. I've had plastic ones before but this one is flawless. I really like the shape and subtle curves. The holes are superbly placed and the everything fit really well.

Speculator to buy local
Okay, so I gave in to the convenience of ordering online, buying this wallplate along with Leviton 611-6230M-I Decora 30-15-10-5 Preset Notes Electronic Timer, Ivory. Later, I see the same style of wallplate at the local big box store for a buck and shift. Oh well, live and learn.
Leviton 005-80405-00W 2-Band Wallplate
Large quality plate. It was however wrapped in very thin & brittle plastic that broke during handling or shipping, so a couple close screws were lost. Leviton's plate is great, Leviton's product wrapping is poor.

Bed Bug Infestations Rising, Affecting All Areas 10TV
23.02.10
COLUMBUS, Ohio — New numbers released Monday showed bed bugs are everywhere in Franklin County, and the pretty pickle
is growing.
Bed bugs do not care who you are or where you live, 10TV's Jeff Hogan reported.
The bugs are on the stimulate in Franklin County, and the stereotype of low-income renters being the
only ones infected is long gone, experts said.
SLIDESHOW: Images From Story
"We've had reports from schools, we've had reports from churches, bowling alleys, dialysis
centers, vets offices," said Paul Wenning, with the Main Ohio Bed Bug Task Force.
The bugs are also invading private residences, Hogan reported.
A modern map included every ZIP code color-coded with a complaint lodged - up from just two
years ago when the Franklin County Directors of Health formed a bed bug task force.
"Our goal was to be ahead of the upcoming surge in bed bugs," Wenning said. "This map tells us
the problem was way in go on of what we had ever dreamt it had been."

Wall switch plate is warm/hot to the touch?
Sep 06, 4949 by Jeff | Posted in Maintenance & Repairs
duplicate switch at the top of the basement stairs is warm, took cover off, no smell, smoke etc, just a warm box
Sounds like a relaxed connection or a worn out switch. Repair or replace as required. If you are not experienced doing electrical work, I persuade hiring an electrician to diagnose the problem and then fix it.

The wiring may be using the illegal type of wire, causing excess heat (due to too much ampage passing through). It can potentially start a fire. You should get an electrician to discontinuance it out.

If it's lukewarm to the touch and not hot, I wouldn't worry about it. I just had a house completely remodeled, including all new wiring. A couple of switches power some gay bars with 200 watts of total bulb power and the switch gets warm to the touch after a while.
If it honestly concerns you, you might put lower wattage bulbs in the lights that this switch operates. Less power means less current, which means less zealousness generated.

Assuming this is not a dimmer, and that you aren't match 500 to 1000 watts of lighting on that switch, that can be a dangerous situation, as it could be due to resistance in the connection or in the switch contacts.
If you are amiable working around electric hardware, I'd shut off the breaker to that circuit (leave the light on so you can see that it goes off), and be verified the connections.
Often, electricians use the quick-connect switches that allow the wire to be slipped into the switch very much like a boost. If the wire guage is small, and the switch is cheaply made, there might not be a good connection, or the cross-section of the connection may be too uninspired for the amount of power being consumed. Whenever I encounter those, I strip a little more off the wire, form a clockwise pin and put it under the screws and tighten them firmly.
As always, be careful working around electricity - wear shoes, be sure the circuits are not powered or that someone else doesn't freak out the breaker back on while you're working.

I've been an electrician for over 40 years, so lets start easygoing and cheap. Replace the switch and tighten all of the connections. If this does not solve the problem in an hour or so, remove half of the lamps that are powered through the switch. If this does not elucidate the problem completely and quickly, you need to call a qualified professional electrician. There is then a strong possibility that you have a treble resistance short in the wiring that can cause a serious fire. The switch box should not be warm to the touch, unless the whole house is warm. The metal should always be cooler than the nearby area. Also turn off the power to the light circuit as soon as you can.

I don't trouble for the points but Jim W is correct. Do what he said and if it still isn't fixed you will need to have it checked out.

After tiling a wall, how do you adjust electical outlets so switches fit into switch plates evenly?
Jun 05, 2007 by noleswr | Posted in Do It Yourself (DIY)
Now they are sunk back from the switch course.
You really should install plastic box extenders. Other methods are a safety issue. Any of the big box stores will have them, better yet an electrical stock store. You may need to purchase longer screws separately, depending upon the particular box you end up with. This is a quick, unexcitedly fix -- actually easier than the incorrect methods using washers and such.
If you sell your house, a healthy home inspector will note the lack of box extenders in a situation like this.
