Culligan Under-Sink-hole Water Filter
I'm inclusive pleased with this product. I now have convenient high quality drinking water at my kitchen faucet. This takes the place of bottled water, extenuating both the cost of bottled water and the disposal of many, many plastic bottles.
My only criticism is the flow is reduced quite a bit but it's not a big outlet. Greater flow could be achieved by Culligan making a bigger surface area filter, and bigger diameter tubing. I reflect on the filter is the choke point but the small 1/8" tubing could also be contributing to the pressure drop and reduced surge.

Peaceful Peasy
Major product, if you have basic knowledge in how to operate a screwdriver then you can install this under the sink just drill a 3/4" break in your counter(I did it thru my fiberglass sink, was easier that thru the wood counter!)no extra parts to buy, everything is included. well significance the price and the class 3 filter protects from tumors that can develop from chemicals in the water table!(saw it on the Dr. Oz show)You don't have to be a plumber and my missus could have installed it. It really is a no-brainer!
All in All Not Bad
Well, the other reviewers helped me with my acquisition of this item. Indeed, the faucet that comes with this system is cheap chromed plastic. Secondly, the way the system is designed, the water pressure from the haunt water pipe keeps constant pressure on the filter and enclosure. I don't believe that is a good idea. The Faucet I familiar was one that has three water lines attached to it. One line goes to the cold water adapter, one to the "in" line for the filter and the other the "out" line to the faucet itself. The Faucet I employed only lets water to the "in" feed of the filter when the faucet is turned on. This method only pressurizes the filter when clean water is required. In event, the faucet is the one that comes with the PUR undersink system. I had an extra one and gladly so. It made installation quick and easy. Consider using the faucet that has this functionality. Water dispensing is carefully, but same as PUR.

Personal property filter, lousy faucet
I bought this item to replace my old Pur under-sink filtering system, for which replacement filter cartridges could no longer be purchased. While I don't have any issues with the distinction or performance of the Culligan filter (water looks and tastes fine), the faucet included in this kit is junk. It's made in every respect out of plastic, while the faucet that came with my Pur was solid brass. Also, the Culligan's design has the filter connected as soon as to the water supply, so the filter is always under pressure. The Pur's design had the supply connected to the faucet, which acted as a shutoff so the ooze was only under pressure when the faucet was on. Given this, I simply reused my Pur facuet with the Culligan filter...works big, and no worries of a flooded kitchen. I'd suggest that anybody buying the Culligan also buy a quality water filter faucet to go with it...many manufacturers play-act them.
Installing the filter was easy...two screws to mount the "head" to the cabinet wall, and 1/4" impressionable quick-connect fittings for the input and output lines.

What do you know about drinking water filtration systems?

Intrested in getting some type of water filtration system. Looking at those under the sink reverse osmosis systems. Any brands you recommend? How hard is it to install? Is it something I could put on the honey-do rota for my husband to install himself?
I establish these for a living. they are not that difficult to install . and you can connect them to your refrigerator in most cases also. you can buy one from lowe's or rest-home depot that's sufficient. several water treatment companies also sell them, culligan, aqua pure, kenetico, etc. they will put them for you if you buy theirs. don't buy britta that's a carbon filter it only removes chlorine. Reverse osmosis is the way to go. if you have a metal risk you may need to drill a 1 1/4 inch hole for the faucet. hopefully you don't have granite or marble countertops those are much more recalcitrant to drill. or if you have a soap dispenser you can remove it and put your faucet there. you will need to drill a 3/8" muddle high in the drain line under your sink for the r.o waste water to drain to. and you will likely need a 3/8"x3/8"x1/4" T threaded adapter for the silage line. the ones from lowe's and home depot have instructions to install, but i recommend you engage a professional if your husband isn't handy with tools.

I heard Brita is a authentic brand. They have one where you just screw it on the facuet and you're good to go. I am getting one myself so I can have the filtered water for my baby. I over this one even comes with a flavor dispensers to make flavored water for those who don't like it plain.

i looking for one on-road but i would like someone that has one to recommended me it . especially if it remove most fluoride in the water
I have tempered to many different types of filtration systems, and have sooner or later had problems with them, they are expensive and you must change the cartridge's and that is priceless. I gave up on them. LOL
I bought myself an electric kettle which holds 10 cups. I boil my water twice and empty it into a gallon draw off container, or used water bottles, and there you are, it is cheap, works the same way. It just takes a little more effort. Reliable Luck
